Embossing Holiday Ornaments & Cones

ANNE BROWN
I absolutely love Anne’s Holiday Cones. These came out fantastic! I can imagine a variety of sweet treats or fun trinkets inside. These would be terrific on the tree or as hostess gifts!

Key areas were embellished with Metallic Gold Rich Pale Regular and Sierra Sunrise but Anne also used a little bit of Tea Garden Green and Neutral Ultra Shimmer.

SHERRIE SUTTLES
Sherrie put together a fantastic ornament that is heirloom-worthy. I love how it looks a touch vintage. Because the color and glitter are heat embossed, this ornament will be classic today and many years ahead.

She started with a 4" Rusty Tin Tree Ornament and a 1" Rusty Tin Star. Her first step was to emboss the entire tree shape with Tea Garden Green Embossing Powder from the Suzy West Bay Area Collection. On top of the heat-embossed green, Sherrie added a layer of Neutral Ultra Shimmer Embossing Powder to give the tree a holiday shine. She wanted to add a little texture and make the ornament even more wintery so Sherrie used Snowtex along the edges of the tree.  She then wrapped the tree with Tim Holtz tinsel and a super cute itty bitty string of bulbs she found at her local craft store.

The Merry Christmas banner was first cut from a piece of chipboard and painted white. “Merry Christmas” was stamped Merry Christmas on the white chipboard and then embossed with Neutral Ultra Shimmer Embossing Powder.

On to the 1” Rusty Star! This piece was embossed with WOW’s! popular Gold Embossing Powder, and pop Dots were used to attach it to the banner to give some dimension to the ornament. A little bit of Snowtex was added to the banner, on sections of the tinsel and bulb string, and on the star.

DONNA O’LEARY
I love clear ornaments with a little something happening inside. It seems so magical to me.
Donna has been very crafty of late and made these ornaments at a Christmas crop last weekend. At the end of the day I gifted them to three ladies. How lovely! What a great idea and what a productive crop! I’m not usually that productive at crops. J

Donna was inspired, as many of us are, by Pinterest. The ornaments she saw used patterned papers, and Donna says, “ I thought it would look lovely with our sparkle glitter embossing powders.  I embossed a A4 sheet and cut up into strips, added some ink and popped them in.  I have added more to these and embossed the tops.”  I also love that Donna has a tree that is completely WHITE. It looks stunning!

IRIT SHALOM

Irit shared with us a simple but elegant project that can be used all winter. She used snowflake chipboard and 3 shades of blue from our WOW! Collectiong including bodacious blue, Blueberry, and Azure. She also used Cotton Candy and neutral ultra shimmer. The Joy stamp is from the WOW! Deck the Halls holiday stamp set.

I will miss working with Donna and Irit who are both moving to WOW's UK Design team in the new year. Luckily, they can be easily found at http://wowembossingpowder.blogspot.co.nz/  . They are so talented and inspiring, so don't forget to bookmark that link!
